KULFI BEAUTY | Main Match Crease-Proof Long-Wear Hydrating Concealer - Misty Maple (Light W/ Neutral Pink Undertones

KULFI BEAUTY | Main Match Crease-Proof Long-Wear Hydrating Concealer - Misty Maple (Light W/ Neutral Pink Undertones

A nice alternative to your L & A concealer that’s a touch more hydrating and radiant for around the eyes. Remember how we use the doe foot to apply to shadowed areas that could use brightening like the inner and outer corner, then gently pat in to blend with either a fluffy synthetic brush or fingertips. Set for longer wear with a feather light dusting of a sheer, translucent powder like the ByTerry one I’ll list below.

BY TERRY | Hyaluronic Hydra Pressed Powder

Remember how we talked about the makeup artist’s trick of mattifying through the t-zone to bring out the radiance in other areas like cheeks and lids…try powdering down the sides of nose and across forehead and chin but leaving the center of nose and cheeks dewy. Use the included puff or for an even more natural finish, try using a fluffy brush in a smaller diameter than you think for the most control. Real Techniques Setting Brush is a great inexpensive option you can find at Duane Reade and CVS

VIOLETTE_FR | Bisou Blush in Louise

VIOLETTE_FR | Bisou Blush in Louise

Softly smile and apply this to the apples of cheeks, using gentle patting motions to blend the edges. You may also like using the (washable/ removable) brush on the opposite end of the blush stick to blend or a damp beauty blender dipped into a bit of your concealer (both of which I’ll list below). Check out my latest Instagram reel for a short tutorial on application of this blush if you need a visual- in the reel I’m using a pinker color but the application is the same

MERIT | Flush Balm Cream Blush - Beverly Hills

MERIT | Flush Balm Cream Blush - Beverly Hills

I will cry if this blush ever gets discontinued. Foxy is another favorite and will look great on you. Smile bitchily, stamp onto apple of cheek (just below Iris) then gently pat in to blend up and out towards hairline. The more tired you are the higher up towards your undereyes you can go- it helps detract from circles rather than piling on the concealer which tends to make you look more tired. This can also go under or over powder blush- it is a very forgiving texture as you noted that plays well with other products. Use your beauty sponge or foundation/ concealer brush as an eraser if you’ve applied overzealously

MAKEUP BY MARIO | Softsculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer - Light Medium

MAKEUP BY MARIO | Softsculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer - Light Medium

This is your ever so subtle cream bronzer to warm up your complexion. After concealer/ foundation, use a big, fluffy synthetic brush to buff this in areas where the sun would naturally hit. Think temples, forehead, across nose and cheeks. Bop your damp Beautyblender sponge over it to take off that surface layer off and make that new slightly warmer tone look more authentic

VICTORIA BECKHAM BEAUTY | Contour Stylus - Travertine

This is your sculpting stick - use it where you want to create the illusion of a shadow. Looking straight into the mirror, sketch this in the arc slightly above the crease / fold of your eye and blend up and out, meeting in that sideways v shape at the outer corners. Add a little under the cheekbone and blend with fingertips or a fluffy brush. If you want to make free shipping, her eye pencil in the shade “bright” is great in the lower waterline for opening up eyes- it’s way more subtle than white. And I’ll also link the eye Kajal in Cinnamon we used under your eyes for your night look.

PAT MCGRATH LABS | Permagel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil - Blitz Brown

This is the bronzey tone we swapped in for your Clinique eyeliner- it’s a gel formula so you have some play time and then it sets down for longer wear. Make sure and sharpen first with the included sharpener for the most control. Apply it as you did your Clinique - thicker as you get towards the outer corners. Clean up with a fingertip or a skinny cotton bud dipped in micellar water (remember to check out the selection at Sunrise Mart- Teso Life in Koreatown also has a fantastic selection of cotton buds that are far tighter and less fuzzy than q-tips).

U BEAUTY | The Plasma Lip Compound

This is the lip balm I used on you. They also make a tinted version that people really like- you might enjoy the red for a more daytime version of a red lip.

This is that tiny angled brush you may want to play with - I love using the tapered edges to stamp on gel eyeliner as you get a very sharp line.

A nice shape for smoking out liner- this is the type of brush I would use to soften and blend out eyeliner along bottom lashes for a soft effect

Studio 953 Duo Fiber Foundation

Dual fiber brushes like this one are great for stippling and blending on foundation when you want a more polished effect. Work the product into the lower bristles so the top ones help you buff out as you apply.

BEAUTYBLENDER | Solid BlenderCleanser - Lavender

That solid soap I was talking about great for cleaning your blender (aim for once a week) and brushes (aim for once a month). The scrubby mat included with the soap is great for getting out any stubborn pigment. Run your soapy brush over it and then rinse in the palm of your hand til water runs clean. For brushes, be sure not to get the ferrule (metal part) wet as it can loosten the glue that holds the bristles together. I tend to use the palm of my hand as a cup/ bowl and only dip the bristles in as much as possible. Shake them off then dry and reshape bristles in a paper towel and lay flat off the edge of a table to dry (this way the air can really get to the hairs and bacteria doesn’t get trapped in them).

LISA ELDRIDGE | Skin & Makeup Enhancing Mist

Mist skin with something lovely like this to refresh and allow powders from the day to settle so skin looks like beautiful skin not makeup. I also love Lisa’s cleanser - it removes all traces of makeup especially when used with her cloths and can also be applied as a mask. Her lipsticks are next level toooo - I shall include our favorites in your Evening Shelf.
