Christy Coleman

Christy Coleman

Christy Coleman is the original clean beauty pioneer. She was the first makeup artist to make a commitment, in 2008, to transition her kit to 100 percent clean beauty — minus an occasional waterproof mascara — based on her unwavering belief that all beauty should be safe and clean. And she’s never looked back. Christy’s work as a fashion and celebrity makeup artist has appeared in Vogue, W, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and in advertising campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Victoria’s Secret. She counts Alessandra Ambrosio, Connie Britton, and many more among her high-profile clients. Renowned globally for her signature “fresh-face,” she had the distinction of being rejected by Boy George because her artistry was “too natural”! Christy has served as Chief Artistic Officer for Beautycounter since it was founded in 2011 and launched in 2013. She develops the company’s collection of safe personal care products and cosmetics while ensuring each one meets the highest performance standards.
